| The EYS program connects students, teachers, and administrators to the vibrancy of music in an unforgettable one or two day experience! Discover how Mark Wood and his team ignite orchestras by introducing them to improvisation and inspiration, inspire students to succeed both in and out of music class and raises funds for your school’s music department. EYS gives schools the chance to work with award winning musicians and composers–but equally important to the EYS experience is your participation. EYS gives you the tools and assistance to empower your school and your students. Inspire orchestras and transform your music program into something truly magical.
We work closely with you throughout the entire process. Here’s how it works:
All EYS experiences culminate in a mesmerizing 90-minute concert (ticket sales help to fund your school orchestra program) with Mark Wood and students electrifying the stage.
Consider reaching for the stars. Bring in award winning vocalist Laura Kaye to work with your school’s choir. Or invite everyone in Mark’s touring band–The Mark Wood Experience–to elevate the performance. Bring in a student rhythm section (bass, drums, guitar, keyboard) and thoroughly explore the wonder of marrying classical and contemporary music. To help support this amazing program, EYS offers assistance in fundraising by providing suggested text for grant applications, as well as long-range planning to keep your music program growing year after year. Every experience is individualized to fit your school’s needs.Begin the musical adventure with an EYS consultation. Discuss goals and the requirements of your music program with Mark Wood and members of his team. Based on this consultation, EYS selects music and arrangements from Mark’s award-winning compositions to his incredible arrangements of classic rock and contemporary tunes–and works closely with you to determine the scope of the workshop.EYS provides you with copies of all scores and arrangements before Mark’s initial visit, so that students can get fired up for their one or two-day workshop/rehearsal.
